Pilgrims' Progress

Yes, sometimes photographers' prayers are answered!  I hung out for quite a while in front of a group of White Pelicans in Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve, and of course, they were facing every which way and refusing to pose for a group photo.  I thought how cool it would be if I could photograph them all facing in the same direction.  Soon they all at once began walking from one end of the narrow sand reef to the other.  I still don't know why--maybe it was their version of mall walking, or maybe they indeed heard my prayers.  Either way, I give thanks to the universe for its endless capacity for surprise.
