Pastoral Pool

This picture was taken outside of Gatlinburg, TN.  I owe it to the kindness of a fellow photographer, whom I ran into at a roadside lookout at dawn, and who told me about the beautiful eight-mile loop road out of Gatlinburg, where one can find old Appalachian cabins and a lovely brook with many successive waterfalls over moss-covered rocks.
